Background
Our clients were reluctant to move as they liked the area and their children were happily settled in schools. Having made the decision to stay put, they wanted to increase the size of the home as much as possible. and gain a healthy return of their initial investment in the future.

The first step was to create a plan that would meet the client’s vision as well as their budget taking in consideration their return of investments plan.
With so much space to play with, the layout was configured into a large double bedroom and a wet room, designed to flow into one another.
To maximise light throughout the entire loft we fitted 8 fully electric Velux windows which helped create this amazing modern aesthetic loft, offering panoramic views of outside providing the perfect viewing platform for sitting and relaxing or even some cloud watching from bed.
Of course, no luxurious loft conversion would be complete without a plus remote-control air conditioning system for cooling on warm days and a stunning bath in the middle of the room.

The team was very excited to take on this project, as it was one of the highest spec, luxurious builds we have completed to date. The first step was to create a plan that would meet our client’s vision while keeping within their budget.
The loft conversion was designed to be open plan, which we did by keeping the fire door at the bottom, leading off the existing landing. As a result, it gave the illusion that there was no loft conversion from downstairs. To access the loft, you walk through a door and up the stairs, which were completed with 15mm toughened glass to maintain the open-plan design.
The loft conversion was equipped with air conditioning, LED lights up the stairs as well as above the bed. In total 14 Velux windows were fitted which provided a great feature to the room; a lovely view of the countryside and a perfect blackout for sleeping thanks to the fully electric solar fitted.
The bathroom had a wet room shower, along with his and hers sinks and a free-standing bath, the result was a high-end bathroom that looked simply stunning.

To maximise the interior space available, we carried out a Hip to Gable conversion to the front of the property – replacing a hipped roof section with a vertical gabled roof – coupled with a Dormer extension to the rear. Lifting the roof in this way created a large, light-filled space suitable for a stylish new bedroom and shower room.
Making the most of daylight is a key element running through all our loft conversion designs. To optimise natural light, an innovative Velux curved rooflight was installed above the galleried landing, letting light shine through. While taking centre stage in the bathroom, a custom extra wide rooflight offers stunning views of the sky above.
Ventilation is an important consideration for any loft conversion as heat rises to the top of a home. An air conditioning unit in the bedroom – cleverly camouflaged as a traditional radiator cover – will help maintain a cool, comfortable temperature in warmer months.
